Event Details

The KCKPL Read Aloud aims to bring people together in our staff and community as we all share the same reading experience.

Join us for our KCKPL Read Aloud each Thursday from Noon - 1 pm starting Thursday, December 3, 2020 through Thursday, February 18, 2021. Join our Zoom meeting each week and listen as we read aloud and have a meaningful discussion of the topics presented in each chapter of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson. This read aloud is happening with permission from Penguin Random House.

Registered participants will be emailed a Zoom link and the link will be posted here 24 hours prior to the event. 

While you will not need a copy of the book to participate, you are welcome to check out a copy here. Feel free to attend when you are able, read any missed sections on your own, and then rejoin the group discussion.
