Program Description

Event Details

Become your favorite anime or manga character using whatever resources you have! To enter either come into your library branch in your cosplay or join our Discord or use QR Code. 

Rules: 

  • Contestants must be ages 13-19 to enter.
  • The cosplay must be of an anime or manga character.
  • No nudity, adult content, gore, violence, or hate symbols allowed.
  • Any weapons or props must be obviously fake.

Judging: 

  • Submitted pictures will be voted on in the Discord and person with the most thumbs up reactions will win a prize for the popular vote
  • The cosplays will then be judged by a panel of library staff based on the following criteria:
    • Craftmanship
    • Resourcefulness
    • Character (how well your cosplay represents)
  • Each person on the top three will receive an anime related prize
  • Judges’ decisions are final.

Entries can be submitted into the contest from Wednesday, September 1st to Wednesday, September 15th. Public voting will end on Wednesday, September 22nd. Winners will be announced at the KCKPL Main library’s anime club kickoff party on September 29th.
