Program Description

Event Details

This multicultural program for ages 4-19 will introduce students to harvesttime traditions from past to present and throughout the world. They will get an idea of the agricultural roots that shaped the traditions, as well as how people from that region celebrate today. Crafts in the kit include a Jugoya rabbit origami craft from the Otsukimi holiday in Japan, a hanbok origami craft to celebrate the Chuseok holiday in Korea and a Mabon banner craft kids can string to celebrate the Autumnal Equinox. Please register with an email for the virtual Zoom program (the link will be posted here below the day of the program) and pick up the craft kit from Main Library.
