The Wyandot Nation came to Kansas in 1843 and made their home in what is now Kansas City, Kansas. This exhibit of eight portraits features images of the early settlers whose names are so familiar in Wyandotte County; Armstrong, Quindaro, Walker, Northrup. The photographs are enlarged reproductions of mid-19th century daguerreotypes, tintypes, and cartes des visites from the library's special collections.
