Program Description

Event Details

Join us at the Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library to learn how to identify trees in the Winter. Trees have so many clues that help you learn who they are and it's not just limited to leaves. Together we will hike a section of the Bridle trail and learn the secrets of Winter Tree ID by observing clues such as the bark, buds, leaf scars, and more. We will tell stories about the trees and get to know some of the species that inhabit the Wyandotte County Lake Park. This activity will take place outside - so be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.

*Masks are required indoors for all patrons ages 5+ per USD 500 guidelines*
