Event Details

Add a touch of the ocean to your room with a beautiful sea turtle painting. This painting is inspired by Latino art and is simple in its usage of just two colors: blue and gold. We will be posting a YouTube tutorial and will have a limited number of kits available. These free kits will contain everything you need: paintbrush, blue and gold paint, and a poster to paint on. You can follow this lesson or show us how you used your supplies to make your own Sea Turtle.

Enter into the Art Challenge by taking a picture of your art challenge and emailing it to afroelich@kckpl.org or bring it by the library before September 9 to win cool prizes.

You can call 913-295-8250 ext. 4 to tell us you will want to take one of these crafts home. Call us when you get here and we’ll bring it out. We will only hold the craft till the end of the day.

We are located at 831 S 55th St, Kansas City, KS, 66106. We are located in the back of the Turner Recreation Commission. Please park near the back library entrance for curbside pick-up.
