STVNGRNLND: FVTHER by Steven Greenland

FVTHER is a highly personal look at my own past and also a look as to where I am headed in the future. FVTHER draws upon emotional experiences relating to my own father who I lost when I was 17. It also expands into the future and dealing with becoming a new father myself. FVTHER looks at socioeconomic and cultural factors that have molded me into who I am today. This is shown through the memories and experiences that are drawn upon for inspiration in my artwork. These influences come in a variety of different ways, from memories of my childhood, photography of places that I had traveled to throughout Europe to experiences of living in the Kansas City area.
