Join us at the Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle library to pick up October’s take-home craft! Make your own Autumn Lantern using materials provided by the library. This craft is available until supplies run out.

Materials:

  1. Plastic cup
  2. Tissue paper
  3. Beads
  4. Pipe cleaner
  5. Flameless votive candle

Directions:

  1. Tear or cut tissue into smaller pieces and glue with glue stick in a mosaic pattern to the plastic cup. Do not glue over the pre-drilled holes near the top of the cup.
  2. String beads onto pipe cleaner and poke ends of pipe cleaner through the holes on the cup.
  3. Slide candle switch on, place in the cup, and let it flicker like a real candle.
