Program Description

Event Details

Project FeederWatch is a winter-long survey of birds that visit feeders at backyards, nature centers, community areas, and other locales in North America. Anyone is welcome to participate as a FeederWatcher and contribute to data that helps scientists track broadscale movements of winter bird populations.

The library is conducting a day of bird-themed activities that will include recordings of bird sightings, kid-friendly crafts and hands-on manipulatives, naturalist-guided bird walks at 10:00am and 2:00pm, and self-guided bird walks with binoculars and field guides available for check-out (with an ID).

No registration required to participate, but please call the library if bringing a large group (8 or more people)
