For the month of September, we will be watching movies from the silent era. See early works by renowned Hollywood directors Alfred Hitchcock, Josef von Sternberg, Ernst Lubitsch and Anthony Asquith. It will probably take some time to acclimate yourself to the style, but you might be surprised at how much of the techniques we see as modern were being used in 1920s.
On this night we will be watching Ernst Lubitsch's 1924 film "The Marriage Circle" starring Florence Vidor, Monte Blue, Marie Prevost, and Adolphe Menjou.
Professor Stock and his wife Mizzi are always bickering. Mizzi tries to seduce Dr. Franz Braun, the new husband of her good friend Charlotte.
