Acrylic paint, inks, gouache, interference color, and  black gesso merge to create the mood of Kansas City’s historic jazz era.  During the 1930s and 40s,  Kansas City boasted more than 150 clubs and entertainment venues. Kansas City was once known as the “Paris of the Plains”.  This collection highlights artists that performed in Kansas City, and surreal images of historic clubs that actually existed in Kansas City.  The KC Jazz Collection is an ongoing research / art project for Sheron.  Prints of Sheron’s work are on permanent display at Waldo’s Pizzas’ "Tap Room", located at 7422 Broadway St. in Kansas City, Missouri.   This collection also features famous performers from the era such as Charlie Parker and Louis Armstrong.
