Program Description

October is a wonderful time to explore nature and we invite our homeschool families to join us for a nature hike on the Bridle Trail at Wyandotte County Lake Park. We will witness the changing landscape and learn different nature facts about the world around us.

This trail hike will be approximately 1.25 mile and last ~60 minutes.  Families should meet at the Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle library prior to the hike.

The trail will feature steep inclines and declines and terrain consisting of mud, rocks and tree roots. It is not stroller friendly and recommended for ages 5 and up. Consider carrying younger children in pack carriers as adults must accompany children on this hike. Please register everyone that will be hiking (ages 5+).
