As part of NEA Big Read KC, Kansas City Public Library staff will be joining us for a special presentation of the FYI Book Club, which will be discussing The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. 

If you are unable to attend, we're hosting two other book groups on September 7 and October 18.

An initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, the NEA Big Read broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. A periodic feature in the Kansas City Star, the FYI Book Group is a partnership project between the newspaper and the Kansas City Public Library that spotlights timely “books of the moment” and brings readers together to talk about them. For Big Read KC, several special FYI Book Group sessions will be held throughout the metro area.
