Bald Eagles by Ric Westman

My name is Richard Westman, my friends call me “Ric” I was born in Minnesota right after the last ice age.  I worked in the field of  engineering for 40 years before retiring and was lucky enough to travel the world. But it wasn’t until living in Australia that I took up Photography seriously and quickly learned that Photography was my calling, my passion, and the thing that will undoubtedly drive me insane someday.

While I am basically a wildlife photographer I do enjoy photographing landscapes, hot air balloons, sunrises and sunsets.  I try photographing  my subjects as close to natural as possible to give the viewer the same feeling I experienced when taking the photo. I wrestle with every image I shoot, assuming perfection is possible and I want to depict it every picture.
