Program Type: Art Exhibit

Photos of life in Harlem during the 1920s and 1930s will be on display in the art gallery at Main.  Images include people, businesses, and homes as they were during the Harlem Renaissance.  A map of Harlem then, taken from hand-drawn atlases, is also on display.

Images are all public domain and part of the New York Public Library Digital Collection. To see more images of Harlem, visit their website.
